A solemn meeting and concert dedicated to February 23 took place in Vitebsk
Heads of the region and the city, representatives of the city's work collectives and public organizations, and students of the Vitebsk Cadet School came to the Vitebsk Concert Hall. The military commissar of the region, Ruslan Shkodin, addressed the attendees.
— Defender of the Fatherland Day symbolizes selfless service to the Motherland, courage, and heroism. Different generations of our citizens had to defend Belarus, their native home, children, and mothers with weapons in their hands. Today, in this hall, there are both active servicemen and internationalist soldiers, and, of course, veterans of the Great Patriotic War. They are our pride, an example of honor and dignity for the younger generation, — said Ruslan Nikolaevich. — Our country pursues a peaceful policy and is an example of how the descendants of the victors build a strong and prosperous state, preserving a peaceful sky overhead.
After the official part, a festive concert took place.
