Products of Pridvinye were noted at the first stage of the republican tasting competition "GUST" for the best product of the year

Fish, vegetable, meat, dairy, confectionery, and bakery products have been identified as leaders in their respective categories. It is gratifying to note that products from producers in the Pridvinye region have also received high praise. For example, the apple-peach nectar with pulp from JSC "Vitebsk Fruit and Vegetable Processing Plant" was well-received by the competition commission. Following the tasting of fish products, the state enterprise "PTC of Braslav" received a diploma for its canned fish "Carp in Tomato Sauce" and "Fried Silver Carp in Oil."

Producers from the Pridvinye region also distinguished themselves in the "meat" competition. Among the boiled sausages for the nutrition of preschool and school-aged children, the "ABVGDeika Lux" sausage and frankfurters from JSC "Gluboksky Meat Processing Plant" were recognized as the best.

In the "dairy competition," 68 product samples were noted. Over two competition sessions, tasters evaluated sour cream, cottage cheese, yogurts, other fermented milk products, glazed curd snacks, curd desserts, ice cream, butter, as well as hard, semi-hard, and brine cheeses. Here too, JSC "Moloko," "Polotsk Dairy Plant," and "Lepel Condensed Milk Plant" are among the winners.

For instance, JSC "Polotsk Dairy Plant" has consistently held a leading position in the "Glazed Curd Snacks" nomination year after year. Its "Orpheus and Eurydice" with marmalade and vanilla flavor, as well as the glazed curd snack with vanilla and 26 percent fat content, have impressed the strict jury. The ice cream cakes "Winter Tale" and "Chocolate Delight" from JSC "Lepel Condensed Milk Plant," as well as the plombir ice cream with jelly glaze "Mirror Kiwi" and candied fruits, and the plombir ice cream with boiled condensed milk and grated glaze "Mishkino Lakomstvo" also captivated the tasters.

As noted by the competition organizers, over its existence, "GUST" (which has been held since 2001) has become a unique platform that demonstrates the development not only of the industry but also of the enterprises themselves, their achievements, and the expertise of their technologists.
