Traditions of the Belarusian ethnos will be presented at a festival in Novopolotsk

The palette of traditions of the Belarusian ethnos will be presented at a festival in Novopolotsk on September 19, the local city executive committee reported.

The open city festival of national culture "Verasnyovaya palitra" (September Palette) will be held in the Park of Culture and Recreation. This bright and original event will widely present the entire palette of traditional culture. Thus, folk art masters, amateur art groups, a batleyka theater will work on the sites, knight tournaments, master classes in traditional crafts, medieval dances, and much more will be held.

First, guests will be able to see the traditional wedding ceremony "Vyaselny zbanachak" (Wedding Pitcher), after which the grand opening of the festival with a concert and thematic sites will take place.

In the Year of Youth, "Verasnyovaya palitra" is held with the active participation of youth groups: folklore, choreographic, instrumental ensembles, performers of folk songs and dances, participants of historical reconstruction clubs. And the final touch of the program will also be a performance by youth groups of the city (from 18:00 to 20:00), as Novopolotsk is especially famous for its musical talents.
