The traditional "Car-Free Day" will be held in the Vitebsk region on September 22

Every year, residents of the region are invited to join an international campaign aimed at reducing harmful emissions into the atmosphere. Car owners are asked to leave their cars in the garage for a day and use alternative modes of transportation. Indeed, sometimes it is quite possible to walk to the store or work, or to use public transport. And if the weather permits, you can also ride a bicycle.

To ensure that the maximum number of residents of the region support this initiative, video clips about the campaign have been broadcast on screens in shopping centers and public squares of the regional center for several days. In addition, thematic leaflets are being distributed at parking lots, bus stops, and public recreation areas, urging drivers to refrain from using their cars on September 22. The regional analytical control laboratory has also contributed to reducing harmful emissions – its employees conducted quality control of automotive fuel at Vitebsk gas stations from September 18 to 20.
