One third of the control and analytical measures of the Vitebsk Oblast Committee for State Control are carried out in the form of monitoring, the control department informed a BELTA correspondent. The State Control Committee focuses on preventing violations. Approximately 35% of all control and analytical measures were carried out in the form of monitoring. Strengthening the preventive nature of work has made it possible to obtain information about the state of affairs in the supervised economic sectors, and to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of control measures without increasing the control burden on entities. Over 8 months of the current year, specialists of the Oblast State Control Committee conducted 119 inspections, which resulted in the recovery of Br28.3 billion to the budget. Tangible assets were converted into state revenue, and fixed assets were registered or revalued in the amount of Br36 billion. Compared to the same period in 2011, the amount of state funds saved increased 114 times and amounted to Br67.6 billion. As noted by the State Control Committee, a balanced approach to imposing administrative penalties on business entities has been ensured. Administrative penalties were applied taking into account the degree of guilt and the financial situation of the inspected entities. Over 8 months of 2012, administrative penalties were imposed in the amount of Br12.6 billion, while the maximum amount of administrative fines established by law is Br42.5 billion. 408 violators were brought to administrative responsibility, and 605 to disciplinary responsibility. -0-
