A third of Vitebsk's Energokomplekt products are innovative

Limited Liability Company "Production Association "Energokomplekt" has mastered the production of export-oriented and import-substituting products - a group of power cables with a voltage of 110 kV and 10 kV, Chairman of the Board of Directors of LLC Sergey Podgaisky informed journalists today, answering a question from a BELTA correspondent.

The implementation of the project for the production of 110 kV voltage cable was envisaged by the enterprise's development program for 2011-2015. Thus, "Energokomplekt" has mastered the production of a fundamentally new segment of cables, which will allow it to supply the Belarusian market with a product that is import-substituting, and to increase the export component of the enterprise. According to Sergey Podgaisky, domestic energy companies have already shown interest in the new product, having appreciated its operational, quality, and price advantages over previously used cables. At the same time, he emphasized that about 30% of the products manufactured by LLC "PA "Energokomplekt" are innovative.

PA "Energokomplekt" was established in 1997. It is the largest enterprise in Belarus among cable and wire product manufacturers. The enterprise employs over 400 qualified specialists and workers. Of these, 26% are engineering and technical personnel. The range of manufactured products includes over 6.5 thousand types and sizes. Currently, "Energokomplekt" is the only manufacturer in Belarus of medium and high voltage cables (10-110 kV) with cross-linked polyethylene insulation. In addition, it holds leading positions in such product groups as self-supporting wires for overhead power lines, as well as power cables of large cross-sections (up to 500 sq. mm) for voltages up to 1 thousand V. Technological equipment from well-known European manufacturers ensures a complete production cycle. Its production capacity is 3 thousand tons of finished products per month.

The quality of the supplied products is confirmed by the presence of Russian and Belarusian certificates for all manufactured products, certificates of conformity to the quality management system in accordance with the requirements of STB ISO 9001-2001 and RST ISO 9001-2001, which has been in effect at the enterprise since 2004. The enterprise has its own laboratory, accredited for technical competence in accordance with the requirements of the standards, and conducts all types of cable product testing.

Based on the results of January-October 2012, the volume of product output at comparable prices amounted to Br385.7 billion. Br9.1 billion was invested in fixed assets. The profitability of sold products was 13.8%, net profit exceeded Br37.8 billion. The average monthly salary was Br4.8 million.
