The third wood chopping championship among media outlets is taking place in the Minsk region.

Третий чемпионат по колке дров среди СМИ проходит в Минском районе.
The championship was first held in 2022 and was immediately loved by journalists. According to the championship regulations, participants can be employees of central and regional media; bloggers united in a team. The team consists of 4-7 people (at least two women and two men). The number of participants, as well as fans, is only increasing every year. Teams from all over the republic and beyond will compete for the championship title. This year, the geography of participants has significantly expanded.

The Vitebsk region is represented by several teams at once:

"Vitebskiye Vesti"
"Vitebsk" TV and Radio Company
"Orshanskaya Gazeta"
Team of Bloggers
The championship is growing with new competitions, and this year is no exception. Among men, based on the results of wood chopping, the ten participants who showed the best result will be able to perform in the dynamic and interesting competition "With One Blow!". It will be necessary to split ten blocks with just one swing of a splitting axe. In addition, for the best results in wood chopping among women, a very unusual competition will also be held - it will be necessary to split firewood using a frying pan.
Thus, participants will have to perform exercises such as wood chopping, log splitting, presidential-style wood chopping, "With One Blow!", and "Strength Test".
In addition, entertainment activities are prepared for fans. Spectators can expect family competitions in collecting wooden figures, a team competition in pulling firewood on sleds, log competitions, a Belarusian Monopoly board game, performances by cool artists from our country, food courts, creative photo zones, a children's playground, souvenir sales, and, of course, surprises.
Following a good tradition, based on the results of the championship, the firewood will be transferred free of charge to those in need for heating during the winter period.
