The third forum of young specialists brought together more than 250 participants from different regions of the Vitebsk region
Its organizers were the main department of ideological work and youth affairs of the regional executive committee, the Polotsk, Chashniksky, and Dokshitsky district executive committees, and the regional committee of the NGO "BRSM".
The first stage of the forum was held in Polotsk, with 80 representatives from the fields of education, culture, healthcare, and industry from the Verkhnedvinsk, Gorodok, Miory, Polotsk, Rossony, and Shumyly districts, and Novopolotsk participating.
– Similar events have already taken place in the districts, each young specialist has managed to gain initial professional experience, get acquainted with the region, its development features, and appreciate the advantages of starting a career in cohesive teams of professionals in their field, – shared Irina Sofeichenko, Deputy Head of the Department of the Main Department of Ideological Work and Youth Affairs of the Regional Executive Committee.
– The goal of our forum is to increase the social and economic activity of young specialists.
Svetlana Valyushkina, Deputy Chairperson of the Polotsk District Executive Committee, noted that young people from different districts would have the opportunity to learn about the rich historical and cultural heritage and the industrial potential of the oldest city in Belarus.
Young people visited enterprises in the region (branches of OJSC "Mogotex", "Vesna-energo"), educational institutions (Polotsk Economic College, Polotsk RCZiM), visited the Spaso-Evfrosinievsky Monastery, and took part in master classes and interactive sessions.
During the open dialogue "We are united!", topical issues of young specialists were discussed, and proposals were made to improve the forms and methods of working with young personnel, ensure their social and labor guarantees, and support and create conditions for the implementation of youth programs and projects.
Svyatoslav Sushitsky:
– It's my first time at such a forum. The event is significant and relevant. It was interesting to study the experience of colleagues and the work with youth at the Polotsk branch of OJSC "Mogotex".
Veronika Voronyuk:
– It was interesting to get acquainted with the production and study the conditions created for young specialists. The guys were interested in privileges and social benefits. I hope the forum will be a catalyst for new ideas and projects.
Artem Avtukhov:
– I liked the format of the forum. We got acquainted with the production, the historical and cultural heritage of the city, and memorable places. It's a great opportunity to communicate with young people from other regions, share impressions, and adopt experience.
For 84 young specialists from Vitebsk, Orsha, Vitebsk, Sennensky, Beshenkovichsky, Lepelsky, Chashniksky, Tolochinsky districts, who are taking their first steps in their professions in the fields of education, medicine, construction, transport, social services, forestry, and agriculture, an excursion to the expanded clay gravel plant was organized in Novolukoml, and they had a discussion with young workers. There are a number of preferences for them here. Graduates who come to work undergo an internship under the guidance of experienced mentors. For young specialists, the collective agreement provides benefits: a supplement during the period of mandatory work, increased wages during the production training period, additional social benefits – for example, the provision of an interest-free loan for purchasing an apartment, partial compensation for housing rental costs, and others.
Forum participants also learned about the work of the unique center "Alternative". This innovative educational project provides an opportunity for all prevention entities to present information on the need to lead a healthy and safe lifestyle in an accessible form through interactive platforms, training simulators, and hardware-software complexes. Young specialists admitted that thanks to their acquaintance with "Alternative", they could implement this invaluable experience in their own fields of activity.
Entrepreneur Maksim Kalinin told the young people about his journey to a dream that once seemed unattainable. In the building of the former cinema, he created the "Elektron" center for family recreation and entertainment in Novolukoml, which has everything modern and best. And the fact that children can learn the basics of life safety here with the participation of the Ministry of Emergency Situations staff and there is an opportunity to hold mass events makes it not only an entertainment but also a socio-cultural center.
At the Novolukoml Palace of Culture, the forum participants took part in the folk ritual "Rozhary", joined the creative project of straw weaving by the Chashniki House of Crafts – the creation of a handmade "Unity Bowl" in the Year of National Unity, and participated in master classes on embroidery and wool felting.
The dialogue platform "Youth Unity – Strength of Belarus" became a venue for speeches and discussions at the end of a busy day. The first secretary of the regional committee of the BRSM, Vladimir Babichev, addressing the forum participants, said:
– Only in friendship, in a united team, will you generate new ideas, just as they are generated in the Belarusian Republican Youth Union. After all, all interesting initiatives are conceived by guys just like you. The BRSM calls on you to generate ideas and bring them to life together on its platform and with our help.
Vladimir Babichev also spoke about the most significant and promising projects of the youth organization. The culmination of the year, noted the youth leader, will be the first regional youth award of the BRSM, where the best in 8 areas of activity will receive awards.
The chairman of the Novolukoml City Executive Committee, Vitaly Fadeev, reported that over the past 10 years, 13 apartment buildings have been erected in the city, 596 families have improved their housing conditions, including 343 young families. Almost all young specialists are provided with rental housing. They are expected here: for example, at the Palace of Culture, the sports complex, at enterprises with high salaries.
What support can a trade union organization provide to a person? What is patriotism? What projects are being implemented or are only being conceived by young specialists? These and other questions were actively discussed by young people and experts at a dialogue platform.
In the Dokshytsy district, young specialists from Braslav, Beshenkovichi, Glubokoye, Lepel, Postavy, Ushachi, and Sharkovshchyna districts met at the Begoml Secondary School. It was here, in the capital of the partisan region, that the activists, in whose hands lies the future of blue-eyed Belarus, got acquainted.
– Every region of our country has its own peculiarity, – said Valentina Randarevich, Chairperson of the Dokshytsy District Council of Deputies, in her welcoming speech. – The youth marathon is an excellent opportunity to get acquainted with the iconic places of our native country, meet peers, and exchange experiences at the beginning of working life. Much is provided in our country for the development of youth and their active recreation. To realize these opportunities, all that is needed is desire, which I sincerely wish all participants of the forum.
Having divided into groups, young specialists went on excursions to the Begoml Museum of National Glory, the "Vetraź" plant, the Begoml Forestry, and "Vitebsktorff". At each location, there was a photo challenge to create a figure corresponding to the number of their work group, as well as the creation of a collective creative work. For example, at the forestry, everyone together decorated a Christmas tree with ornaments in the form of maps of the region's districts, and at "Vetraź", those who wished learned, and some showed a master class, how to use a screwdriver, inscribing the word "we" on a panel. By the way, the groups also had to defend their works at the final part of the event.
A patriotic event at the "Curse of Fascism" memorial complex in Shunewka brought everyone together again. According to tradition, everyone broke off a piece of the Bread of Memory, symbolizing the connection between those who fell in the war and the living, and lamps were placed at the monument.
The forum continued at the "Iskra" cinema and concert hall, where guests were first introduced to the opportunities for young people of Dokshytsy to realize themselves in various fields.
Experienced experts during the open dialogue included Marina Novitskaya, Head of the Main Department of Ideological Work and Youth Affairs of the Regional Executive Committee, Oleg Kovalenok, Chairman of the Dokshitsy District Executive Committee, and others. They discussed issues of patriotism, the role of family and faith with the youth, recalled their first steps in their working lives, and shared advice on how to realize creative plans and ideas.
Alexander Kostyuk, bricklayer at Dokshitsy PMK-52:
– During the forum, I met not only young specialists from other districts but also from our own. It was interesting to learn what the youth in the neighborhood are interested in, what they are passionate about, where and how they spend their free time. When we visited enterprises, I noted with pride that we truly have something to be proud of: our glorious history, production prospects, and famous fellow countrymen.
Maria Belyaeva, teacher at Krulevshchinskaya Secondary School:
– I am originally from Senno. The forum was very beneficial for me; I learned so many interesting things about the district where I started my working career. I especially liked the presentations of sections and interest clubs. Young people truly have opportunities to realize themselves; the main thing is not to sit still, but to be active themselves and confidently move towards their goals.
