A three-story kindergarten for 200 children has opened in Orsha

A three-story kindergarten in the young microdistrict of Zadneprovye-5 has been built according to a modern design. It has a swimming pool, fitness and sports halls, playrooms, an art studio, a music room, and a medical unit. The kindergarten is equipped with video surveillance cameras and a local area network. There is an extensive territory around, each group has its own playground, there is an all-season sports zone, as well as a special training ground for learning traffic rules. Almost Br6 million was allocated for the construction. The Deputy Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Vladimir Penin, took part in the grand opening ceremony of the kindergarten.

"With the commissioning of this facility in Orsha, the problem of providing places in preschool institutions has been solved," he said. "There has never been a kindergarten of this level in Orsha before. It has been built in accordance with modern requirements. A similar one was opened in Glubokoye this summer. In the future, we will only build such kindergartens - cozy, with all the conditions for the harmonious, all-round development of children." The Deputy Chairman added that a kindergarten is currently under construction in Vitebsk. "Next year, we plan to start construction in one of the district centers or in Novopolotsk," Vladimir Penin noted.

Lyudmila Dobrynina, Chairman of the House of Representatives Standing Committee on Budget and Finance, said that as a deputy, she had repeatedly been approached by residents of the new microdistrict of Orsha with a request to build a kindergarten. "Housing construction is underway in the microdistricts, and the social sphere must develop in parallel. The opening of this kindergarten is a long-awaited and joyful event," the deputy said.

Alexander Poznyak, Chairman of the Orsha District Executive Committee, clarified that Orsha's preschool institutions can accommodate almost 9,000 children. Answering a question about the possible construction of a new school in the city, he noted that everything depends on how Orsha develops. "Just a week ago, a discussion of the general plan for the development of Orsha took place. We made some adjustments to ensure that there is an opportunity

extensions of the social sphere, including the possible construction of kindergartens and schools. I think the residential area in the Zadneprovye microdistrict will also expand, so it is quite possible that we will need a kindergarten and a school here," - said the head of the district.

More detailed information about the plans for the development of the social sphere and the construction of specific facilities will be available after the comprehensive development plan for Orsha until 2020 is approved. "Now I can say that a cultural center will appear in the village of Babinichi, Orsha district. This is a comprehensive House of Culture with a cafe, opportunities for organizing various cultural and sports leisure activities, as well as holding concerts and other events," - explained Alexander Poznyak. According to him, the construction of this facility will be financed by extra-budgetary funds.

As of September 1, 102 educational institutions operate in the Orsha district: 53 preschool institutions, 40 general secondary institutions, 2 special education institutions; 5 institutions for additional education of children and youth; a children's home; a socio-pedagogical center, including a children's social shelter. 79 institutions operate in the city of Orsha, 23 in the district.
