Three educational institutions will be completed in the Vitebsk region in 2016

Vitebsk region intends to complete the construction of three educational facilities in 2016. This was announced today to journalists by Leonid Stepanov, First Deputy Head of the Education Department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, before the start of the department's final board meeting, in response to a question from a BELTA correspondent.

"Capital investments for this year are small. Construction of 8 facilities will be carried out, 3 of which we plan to complete. Thus, we intend to complete the kindergarten-primary school complex in Novopolotsk, we expect to commission a kindergarten in Glubokoye and a kindergarten in Vitebsk. The construction of a kindergarten in Orsha will continue, funding is planned for the construction of a school in the village of Litusovo, the completion of a swimming pool in one of the schools of the regional center, etc.," said Leonid Stepanov.

In general, the financing of the education system in the regional budget this year accounts for more than 31%, which in monetary terms is more than Br5 trillion. "The amount is significant, and it is very important for us to spend these funds effectively in order to improve both the quality of education and the salaries of teachers. These two tasks are interconnected - the high-quality work of a teacher should be well paid," emphasized the First Deputy Head of the Education Department.
