Thirty drivers from farms in the Vitebsk region transported more than 1 thousand tons of grain each from harvesters

August 10, Vitebsk / Sergey Kochetov - BELTA /. Thirty drivers from farms in the Vitebsk region have transported over 1,000 tons of grain each from harvesters. This data on the progress of the regional operational competition was reported to a BELTA correspondent by the regional committee of the trade union of agricultural workers. Drivers who have transported a thousand tons are present in every district of the region. The leader in grain transportation is Valery Maksimenko from SPC "Kupalovsky" of the Orsha district. Working on a MAZ-555 truck, he has transported over 3.1 thousand tons. Alexander Batyan from PSC "40 years of October" of the Dubrovno district, who works on a MAZ-555, has overcome the 2.5 thousand ton mark. Among the frontrunners are also twelve young drivers (under 31 years of age). The largest amount of grain was transported by Alexey Shpak from the "Zaozerie" branch of OJSC "Lepelsky MKC". As of August 9, he has come very close to the 2,000 ton mark. Among his peers, the second best result belongs to Alexander Karmanov from OJSC "Orshansky Rayagropromservice", who, working on a GAZ-53, has transported over 1.3 thousand tons of grain. As of August 10, a total of 384.4 thousand hectares have been harvested in the region, or 85.2% of the plan. 778.2 thousand tons of grain have been threshed with an average yield of 20.3 centners per hectare. Spring rapeseed has been harvested from an area of over 5.1 thousand hectares, which is 18.3% of the plan, with over 5.7 thousand tons of rapeseed oilseeds obtained. The average yield of spring rapeseed in the region is about 11 centners per hectare. -0-
