Thirteen state-owned enterprises are planned to be corporatized in the Vitebsk region by the end of the year

September 10, Vitebsk / Sergey Kochetov - BELTA /. The joint-stock conversion of 13 state-owned enterprises located in the Vitebsk region is planned to be completed by the end of 2009, Svetlana Lukashevich, deputy director of the Vitebsk territorial fund "Vitebskoblimushchestvo", told a BELTA correspondent. A total of 19 state-owned enterprises were included in the privatization plan for 2009, of which RUSKhP "Agrokombinat "Yubileiny" has already been converted into a joint-stock company, and the work has been completed and a decision is being prepared to establish a JSC based on RUP "Ptitsфабрика "Orshanskaya". 2 enterprises have been excluded from the privatization plan, and the joint-stock conversion of two more economic entities has been postponed to 2010. At the remaining enterprises, including RUPP "Vityaz", RUP "VZEP", RUNPP "Monolit", RUP "Orshansky Aviaremontny Zavod", RUPP "Lyos", the joint-stock conversion work is in the final stage, and some enterprises have already prepared privatization projects. The joint-stock conversion of RUP "Vitebsky Opytno-Eksperimentalny Zavod" remains in question for now. The enterprise's staff spoke out against the transformation into a JSC, as the issue of reorganizing the plant by attaching it to one of the energy complex enterprises is currently being worked out. If the reorganization does not take place, the joint-stock conversion work of this RUP will be resumed. Given the large scale of reforms, almost all enterprises began preparatory work back in 2008. The "Vitebskoblimushchestvo" fund organized a series of training seminars for managers and officials. This allowed for a full and adequate assessment of the fixed assets on the enterprises' balance sheets, avoiding mistakes and the need to correct them during the reform process. As the results of the inventory show, no major unaccounted-for real estate objects have been found at the enterprises. This allows managers to focus on finding strategic investors and attracting investments at the preliminary stage of joint-stock conversion, Svetlana Lukashevich noted. -0-
