The winners of "Slavianski Bazaar" congratulated their favorite festival on its anniversary

July 13, Vitebsk / Eduard Pivovar – BELTA/. The laureates of "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" congratulated the festival, which gave them a creative start in life, on its anniversary. Late last evening, a concert of winners and prize-winners of the Vitebsk forum of different years was held in the Summer Amphitheatre, reports a BELTA correspondent.

Over the 20 years of its existence, "Slavianski Bazaar" has discovered a whole galaxy of new stars. Not all of them were able to come to the 20th festival: now they are famous artists with a busy touring schedule. But the majority still postponed all their affairs to take the stage that became happy for them again.

The program "Happy Anniversary, Festival!" was opened by the permanent participant of all "Slavianski Bazaar" festivals, the National Academic Orchestra of Symphony and Pop Music of Belarus, conducted by maestro Mikhail Finberg. It was with the accompaniment of this ensemble that the competition battles took place at the forum. But at the current concert, all competitive experiences were already far behind.

For the festive concert, its participants prepared surprises. The winner of the Grand Prix of "Slavianski Bazaar" in 2004, Belarusian Petr Elfimov, fulfilled his long-held dream of singing the aria of Christ from Andrew Lloyd Webber's rock opera "Jesus Christ Superstar" on his native land. Teona Dolnikova confessed her love for "Slavianski Bazaar" in French – exactly 10 years ago, she was the first representative from Russia to win in Vitebsk. And the first Belarusian winner, Max Lorenz, who performed in 2003 under his former name - Maxim Sapatkov, presented the premiere of a song that was written by him in 2003, but had never been performed before the current concert.

The anniversary program brought together Belarusians Polina Smolova, Vitaliy Gordey, and Dmitry Kochevrovsky, Russians Evgeny Gor, Alexey Goman, and Dima Danilenko, Serb Ziki, Croat Damir Kedzo, Lithuanian Donatas Montvydas, Ukrainian Natalia Krasnyanskaya, Pole Seba Sebastian, and Romanian Vlad. It is noteworthy that they are now performing in the same program with those who once evaluated their competition performances as jury members: Larisa Dolina, Tamara Gverdtsiteli, Laima Vaikule, Kim Breitburg, and other pop music masters.-0-
