Three talented scientists from the Vitebsk region were awarded the scholarship of the President of the Republic of Belarus for 2017
A total of 94 people from all over the country have been awarded.
Vitebsk region is represented in the list of the most
worthy by Dmitry Bagrets, a researcher at the Institute of Technical Acoustics
of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus — for the development and
mastering of the technology for applying protective and decorative coatings based
on titanium nitride to dental products made of shape memory TiNi alloy; Elena
Gusakova, Associate Professor at Vitebsk State Medical University, Candidate of
Biological Sciences — for identifying a new mechanism of the antistress effect
of iodine-containing thyroid hormones in the blood; Alexander Kozlov, Head of
Department at Polotsk State University, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical
Sciences, Associate Professor — for the development of new ways and methods for
controlling the asymptotic characteristics of linear non-stationary systems of
ordinary differential equations with discontinuous and rapidly changing
coefficients, which contribute to the effective solution of stability and
stabilization of movements of rapidly oscillating physical and technical
systems.
The amount of presidential scholarships for talented young scientists for 2017 has been set at 350 rubles per month.
