The price of Normal-80 gasoline has been increased by almost 19% since March 14
March 14, Minsk / Anna Kot - BELTA /. By order of Belneftekhim, from March 14 of the current year, the price of Normal-80 gasoline sold at the concern's gas stations has increased by almost 19% to Br2850 per liter, the concern's press service informed BELTA correspondent.
Belneftekhim noted that the change in the price of Normal-80 gasoline pursues, first and foremost, an environmental goal. This type of automotive fuel is the most harmful to the environment and is prohibited for use in all neighboring countries of Belarus, except for Russia and Ukraine.
"It is planned that the consumption of this outdated type of gasoline in the domestic market will decrease due to the new pricing policy. This, in turn, will stimulate the transition to motor fuel grades that comply with Euro standards, which will have a positive impact on the purity of atmospheric air," the concern's press service explained. They noted that the issue of ceasing the production of Normal-80 is currently being discussed.
When increasing the price of this type of gasoline, the significant reduction in the number of cars using Normal-80 in recent years was also taken into account. "Thus, this decision should not have a significant impact on the overall market situation," Belneftekhim emphasized.
Recall that the previous increase in the cost of Normal-80 gasoline was on March 3, 2011, by 6.7% to Br2400 per liter.
Belneftekhim concern unites more than 60 organizations. It accounts for over 30% of Belarus's industrial production. The concern's enterprises produce more than 500 types of petrochemical and chemical products. About 70% of the products manufactured are exported to more than 100 countries. -0-
