The Ministry of Emergency Situations Safety Center opened in the Orsha district
The festive event was attended by the State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus, Stanislav Zas, Minister of Emergency Situations Vladimir Vashchenko, honored guests, district leadership, and schoolchildren.
Stanislav Zas emphasized the significance of the training center: "Such centers are being created in all regions and bring enormous benefits. Our youth master the basic rules of safe behavior in various situations here, and this is very important, especially for children."
The country is observing a trend of decreasing fires and people injured by external causes each year. "This is the result of the tremendous work being done to ensure safe conditions for our citizens. The Ministry of Emergency Situations safety centers make a significant contribution to this," said the State Secretary of the Security Council. In his opinion, this area of activity is promising and can bring the greatest benefit, as it is important not only to save people but also to teach them how to avoid danger.
Stanislav Zas expressed gratitude to everyone who participated in the creation of the center in Barani, and also expressed confidence that this facility will be in demand among residents of all settlements in the Orsha District.
Vladimir Vashchenko provided more details about the new facilities. Previously, a fire and rescue post operated on the site of the unit, but in August 2018, a decision was made to reorganize it into a unit, which will increase the unit's combat readiness and allow for a more effective response to any incidents in Barani and nearby settlements.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations safety center is located in the free premises of the unit not used for housing personnel.
The facility was created by analogy with other training
centers deployed in all regions of the country, and consists of training modules "Rules of Conduct in Man-Made Emergencies", "Calling Emergency Services", "Rules of Life Safety in Everyday Life", "First Aid", "Evacuation from a Smoke-Filled Room". The "Augmented Reality" technology is used to train visitors. The novelty of this center is an innovative interactive program for training on the use of a fire extinguisher.
