A cultural center will open in Tolochin for the regional "Dazhynki" festival

Центр культуры откроется в Толочине к областным "Дажынкам"

As reported by the Tolochin District Executive Committee, the House of Culture received this name after major repairs and modernization. A significant volume of work was carried out at the facility, which had been in a dilapidated state for the last three years: the stage was reinforced and thermally renovated, the roof was replaced, and the ceiling was insulated. Major repairs were also carried out inside the building; two dressing rooms with access to the stage were equipped for artists, and the auditorium was completely renovated. "The stage has a modern design - it has new 'outfits', modern mechanics, powerful yet economical lighting equipment, and video and sound equipment also meet the latest requirements," the district executive committee said. "Now, various ensembles and performers can perform here; the stage is adapted for theatrical productions and vocal performances."

The work was financed from various sources (funds from the republican, regional, and local budgets were involved), but the lion's share of the costs was borne by the district budget. "The work was carried out in a coordinated and planned manner - in just six months, the dilapidated House of Culture, which was built in Tolochin in the 1960s, was transformed into a modern center. The conditions created here will undoubtedly contribute to the development of folk art, club activities, and amateur arts," the executive committee expressed confidence.

The grand opening of the cultural center in Tolochin is expected to take place on September 25 during the regional festival-fair of rural workers "Dazhynki".
