The Center for Russian Language, History, and Culture opened at Polotsk State University
The center is located in the building of the Polotsk Collegium. Its activities will be aimed at popularizing the Russian language and culture, disseminating accurate information about Russia's national and cultural traditions, and the Belarusian-Russian historical heritage. Exhibitions, lectures, interactive games, master classes, discussions, and off-site events are planned to be held here on a permanent basis. The Russian House in Minsk intends to transfer about 800 books and 5 art photo exhibitions to the center in the near future to launch its work.
The Rector of PSU, Oleg Romanov, congratulated everyone present on this significant event:
– Today's event is the result of systematic work by the university and Rossotrudnichestvo, which has been carried out on a regular basis. Our students have gained another location for obtaining a quality education. Here they will be able to work with teachers, as well as carry out independent work, which will allow them to improve themselves and become more mature individuals. Thus, Polotsk State University, striving for high-quality education, has taken another step in this direction. This cooperation is necessary for our future, for our survival. We do not divide cultures, we unite them. In the current conditions, our countries can develop only by interacting with each other. And the Center for the Russian Language and Culture is another platform for unification.

During the opening ceremony, Eduard Krustkaln emphasized the importance of developing and strengthening bilateral cooperation:
– We view the center not only as a one-way street. We plan not only to transmit something, to promote new ideas that are developing in Russia, but also to help interested Belarusians gain all the necessary knowledge and tools here. We will develop, and the movement will be two-way.
As part of the working meeting, the heads of the Rossotrudnichestvo Representative Office in the Republic of Belarus and Polotsk State University signed a cooperation agreement. Also, an introductory tour of Polotsk was held for the guests, including a visit to an organ music concert in St. Sophia Cathedral.
