July 14, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. The Vitebsk festival will become a center of youth initiative and creativity today: Youth Day will be held at the "Slavianski Bazaar", the forum directorate informed a BELTA correspondent. The Belarusian Republican Youth Union acted as the ideological inspirer and organizer of Youth Day, and the history of this holiday at the "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" dates back to 2004. Youth events were unofficially kicked off yesterday by a big disco on Victory Square with the participation of youth stars DJ Alex Gaudino (Italy), DJ M.E.G, DJ Nejtrino (Russia). The official start of youth events will be marked by a press conference at the International Press Center with the participation of the 1st Secretary of the Central Committee of the BRSM, Igor Buzovsky, who will talk about what new the organization has brought to the Youth Day program and what traditions have been preserved. The presence of youth and a cheerful spirit will be especially palpable at the festival today, as creative youth from all regions of the country have gathered to actively participate in the day's events. For example, at Victory Square, you can get a master class from graffiti and body art artists, beatbox performers, breakdance dancers, lockers, tecktonik, house, jazz-funk, and other youth trends. Fans of extreme sports will demonstrate dizzying tricks and virtuoso performance techniques: bike trial riders and roller skaters, skateboarders and tracers. Everyone can visit the motorcycle exhibition organized by the public association "Motorcycle Club "Road Hounds" (Vitebsk), and the bravest can "mount iron horses" and not only take a souvenir photo but also ride around the festival city. Oleg Yezhov, a guru of kettlebell lifting and travel, has prepared an unusual gift for young men and women. As part of Youth Day, the titled athlete plans to set a new world record in the "alternating bench press of two 22 kg kettlebells for 1 minute" category. To certify this incredible record, sports commissioner, representative of the Guinness Book of Records (London) Jack Brockbank is expected in festival Vitebsk. A long-awaited event of Youth Day, which will undoubtedly discover new names in the world of dance, will be the II International Youth Festival "Fire of Dance-2012". It will sweep the best dance groups from Belarus, Russia, Lithuania, and Israel into a whirlwind of street show, Latin, show programs, and breakdance. In addition, for the first time at Youth Day, the youth festival "Talent Piggy Bank" will be held with the participation of the groups "Drozdы", Napoli, "Gorodskaya Toska", "Koshka", FM 53.27, Rip Legion, and dance ensembles. The culmination of the youth festival will be a gala concert with the participation of the winners of "Fire of Dance", the spontaneous and charming participants of the children's studio "Klyaksy", the group "Bai-City", and other creative groups and star participants. Youth Day will conclude with a "rock-style party" by DJ Mikis, a DJ from the radio station "Pilot-FM". -0-
