Prices for certain types of cigarettes in Belarus will increase by 5-21% in August
Maximum retail prices for certain types of filtered cigarettes in Belarus will increase by 5-21.2% in August. This information is posted on the website of the Ministry of Taxes and Duties, according to BELTA.
The price increase will mainly affect imported cigarettes. For example, Richmond Cherry, Richmond Premium 4, Richmond Superslim Air 4, and Richmond Superslim Cherry will become 5% more expensive – from Br20 thousand to Br21 thousand per pack.
Aroma Rich Apple Superslim and Aroma Rich Rum & Cherry Superslim will become 6.25% more expensive – from Br16 thousand to Br17 thousand.
The cost of Aroma Rich Apple, Aroma Rich Grape, and Aroma Rich Rum & Cherry will increase by 12.5% – from Br16 thousand to Br18 thousand.
At the same time, domestic Alliance Original, Alliance Classic, Alliance Original Compact, and Alliance Original Slims will see the largest price increase – by 21.2%, from Br4,950 to Br6,000.
Also in August, prices will be set for new types of cigarettes, such as LD Red, LD Blue, LD Silver – Br8,950, Mevius Original Blue, Mevius Sky Blue, Mevius Wind Blue – Br12,500, SOBRANIE BLACKS, SOBRANIE GOLDS – Br20 thousand.
The previous cigarette price increase occurred in July – by 0.9-30%. Belarusian cigarette manufacturers and importers have the right to declare maximum retail prices for cigarettes monthly.
