The church in Glubokoye is being built from named bricks

At the end of autumn, a place designated for the construction of a church in honor of the Archangel Michael was solemnly consecrated in Glubokoye. The monastery church with golden domes will become an architectural gem of the city and the entire region.

10 years ago, near Lake Velikoye, the ancient Berezvech monastery was revived, its history interrupted in the last century. For the arrangement of the Holy Archangel Michael Convent, nuns from Polotsk arrived, led by Abbess Anfisa. Soon, according to the project of Vitebsk architect Yuri Sokolovsky, a small house church was built and consecrated, where divine services are held to this day.

Residents of the region actively donate money for the construction of the new shrine, including purchasing personalized bricks.

We remind you that on the eve of the Day of Belarusian Written Language, having collected more than 100 million rubles, in just three months, the residents of Glubokoye built a chapel-church in the name of the Holy Great Martyr and Healer Panteleimon on the site where a concentration camp was located during the Great Patriotic War. Now, with joint efforts, another church will be erected.
