Flower collages by masters from Belarus, Russia, and Armenia can be seen at the "Slavianski Bazaar".
July 10, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. Flower collages by masters from Russia, Belarus, and Armenia can be seen in Vitebsk during the "Slavianski Bazaar" arts festival, the Vitebsk Regional Museum of Local Lore informed a BELTA correspondent.
The International Creative Association of Phytocollagists "Florissima" and the Vitebsk Regional Museum of Local Lore organized the exhibition of floristic collage "Slavic Etudes" and timed its opening to the International Festival of Arts "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk".
Visitors will be able to see about 60 works by 25 authors, made in various floristic collage techniques, as well as get acquainted with special books and catalogs and receive consultations from artists, members of the International Creative Association of Phytocollagists (ICAP).
As the organizers hope, "Slavic Etudes" will promote international creative cooperation of phytocollagists, as well as give an impetus to the development and popularization of this art form in Belarus, which has many talented masters.
The ICAP was established in 2004. Since then, regular exhibitions have been held both in Russia and abroad. Flower collages by association members have also been exhibited in Greece, the Czech Republic, and Armenia. At the end of 2012, an exhibition of floristic collage is expected in Japan and Austria. Wherever these exhibitions are held, they are met with constant success, because floristic collage is a unique co-creation of the artist and nature, which itself suggests to the master the ways of embodying an idea on canvas.
The exhibition, organized with the support of the Ministry of Culture of Belarus and the Ministry of Culture of Russia, will be held at the Art Museum, a branch of the Vitebsk Regional Museum of Local Lore, from July 10 to August 9. -0-
