Vitebsk region to present tourist routes and innovations in woodworking at the republican eco-forum

August 17, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. Vitebsk region will present tourist routes in specially protected natural areas and innovations in woodworking at the exhibition "Modern Technologies in Rational Nature Management and Environmental Protection" in Brest, the chief specialist of the Vitebsk Regional Committee for Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Tatyana Yasiulina told a BELTA correspondent.

The exhibition, dedicated to the International Year of Forests, will be held during the final of the IX Republican Ecological Forum. Seven enterprises and organizations have been delegated from the region: Vitebsk State Regional Production Forestry Association, Berezinsky Biosphere Reserve, Braslav Lakes National Park, Vitebsk State Technological College, Polotsk Nature and Ecological Museum, Polotsk State Forestry College, Vitebskdrev OJSC.

Educational institutions will demonstrate methods of working on environmental education of students. The reserve and the national park will present new "green" tourist routes. Vitebskdrev OJSC is preparing a large exhibition of its products. The enterprise's stand will feature wood products made using new technologies, as well as products made from woodworking waste.

About 350 delegates will take part in the final of the IX Republican Ecological Forum, which will be held in Brest on August 26-28, including representatives of environmental services from near and far abroad, public administration bodies, public associations, international organizations, and the media. -0-
