"Creative Thursday" announced in Vitebsk in the Year of Culture
The Vitebsk Center for Contemporary Art, in the Year of Culture, is organizing a platform for meetings of creative people within the framework of the "Creative Thursday" project, as reported by Vladimir Bulavsky, a researcher at the VCCA.
The "Creative Thursday" project is a series of weekly meetings with civil initiatives and cultural activists of Vitebsk, held over four months. Representatives of state cultural, educational, and art institutions who seek to diversify their activities and are interested in cooperation with young individual creators are also invited to participate. "At the event, young people will be able to present their creative ideas and projects, the implementation of which requires help and support, including from state institutions that have the resources and platforms for this. The idea for such meetings arose during the 'City for Me' creative initiatives fair, organized by the VCCA in conjunction with the Vitebsk4Me community in November 2015.
It was then, during a general discussion, that the urgent need for creating such a platform for interaction was voiced," explained Vladimir Bulavsky. The meetings will take place on Thursdays in the "Musical Living Room" exhibition hall of the VCCA (11 Frunze Avenue). The first meeting will gather guests on February 11 at 5:00 PM.
