A thousand-tonner from the Orsha district received the keys to a new combine harvester
The head of the region noted that there is one peculiarity this year: farms and combine harvester operators who were not previously well-known are entering the elite of front-rank workers. This indicates that if the entire complex of work is carried out technologically and on time, then the land yields returns.
Before joining the Orsha integration structure, SGTS "Zadneprovsky" occupied a not-so-high position in the district report, but now the local fields are among the best, with the first thousand-ton crew in the district and the second in the region.
Today, the attention of the regional executive committee leadership is focused on the Orsha, Dubrovno, and Tolochin districts, which are the breadbasket of the Vitebsk region. In particular, farms in the Orsha region are achieving excellent yields of 47 centners per hectare (on some fields, it reaches 70-90 centners per hectare), but there is still room for improvement. Specifically, to achieve a total harvest of 200 thousand tons of grain. The maximum result can only be achieved through the synergy of science, land fertility improvement, modern equipment, and the skill of machine operators. The best specialists should work on high-performance equipment, emphasized Nikolai Sherstnev.
As Igor Vasilenko, director of the SGTS "Zadneprovsky" branch of OJSC "Orshansky KHP," reported, as of yesterday, almost 50% of grain and leguminous crops have been harvested from 4.8 thousand hectares. 18 combine harvesters are involved in the fields, and the chain for transporting and drying grain is optimized. Harvest participants are provided with two meals a day, and combine harvester operators have the opportunity to earn 150-200 rubles per day. Based on the results of the harvest, it is planned to obtain at least 14 thousand tons of grain with a yield of 55-60 centners per hectare.
For Sergey Grekov, the current harvest is his thirty-fourth. He started with a "Niva" combine, on which he sometimes threshed 700 tons. After the official ceremony, he took the helm of a Claas combine, purchased with funds from the regional executive committee's investment fund. Sergey Grekov handed over his KZS-1218 to his assistant Oleg Sushkevich, whom he had been training for independent work for almost two seasons.
