Restoration of the architectural and park ensemble continues in Lintupy
The restoration of the architectural and park ensemble in Lintupy began at the end of 2011, when this valuable historical site was purchased by a Russian investor. Since then, construction work has been ongoing. The cost has already amounted to over 600 thousand dollars. This figure was announced by supplier Alexander Marushko, director of the limited liability company "Gloria 777," which is implementing the investment project. He also spoke about the initial results of the restoration work and shared plans for the development of tourism in the Lintupy region.
The plans are "Napoleonic"
The main investor of the large-scale construction is Moscow businessman Dmitry Ponamarenko. He owns about a dozen elite recreation complexes in various cities of the Russian Federation – Moscow, St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod... In agreement with the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus, one of these complexes will be created in Lintupy.
Currently, two dozen builders are working at the site – locals and from the district center. They have already completely finished anti-emergency and roofing work and have begun restoring the palace facades. Insulation has been done in the future hotel, windows have been installed, and partitions for about twenty planned rooms are ready. Each room will have a bathroom, satellite TV, and internet.
Four hotel rooms, but of VIP level, will occupy the entire second floor of the Bishevsky Palace, three of them with access to terraces. The area of each will be over one hundred square meters. The first floor will house a banquet hall for 70 people, a small cafe, and administrative offices. A picture gallery and a museum are planned to be created in the cellars.
"Napoleonic" plans also concern the adjacent territory
— There is an open field next to the architectural complex, and we have many ideas for using this territory, — Alexander Marushko said. — Tennis courts will be built there, possibly a swimming pool, a SPA center, and a small amphitheater. There is also an idea to open an Orthodox church where baptism and wedding ceremonies could be held.
The cleaning of the ponds surrounding the estate is also in the long-term plan. An agreement has already been reached with the Postavy PMS for carrying out this work.
Entry to the construction site is prohibited in the evening and on weekends. This has led to complaints from some Lintup residents who have to waste time going around the estate. A. Marushka explained that according to the legislation of the Republic of Belarus, every such construction site must be closed for safety reasons. This also resolves the issue of unwanted "guests" who "don't mind" stealing construction materials.
Not only business, but also responsibility
Before the restoration began, the investor signed protection obligations and thus took responsibility for preserving the "face" of the unique architectural complex, which is included in the State List of Historical and Cultural Values. Therefore, scientists work on the sites along with the builders. Their work is supervised by the capital's architect-restorer Vadim Glinnik.
He said that work on the project of the Bishevsky Palace in Lintupy was already underway in the 1990s, when the local authorities were taking measures for its revival. But due to insufficient funding, the plans remained just plans.
Over the past two decades, something in the building has been destroyed, something has become unusable, and many scientific expertises had to be repeated. Physical and chemical studies of building materials were carried out again, and work in historical archives continued. Detailed photographic documentation of the objects has been made.
- Our task is not only to preserve the external appearance of the manor, but also its internal style, - explained Vadim Glinnik. - Therefore, some adjustments were made to the investors' project. They took into account all the recommendations. In general, cooperating with "Gloria 777" is a pleasure: the firm has real professionals.
Research on the palace has already been completed, and now attention is focused on smaller objects of the complex. But they are of no less historical value. Lintup region is a unique area with an incredible number of attractions concentrated in it. There are countless opportunities for tourism development here! A dozen museums alone could be created. Lintup residents are sitting on a "gold mine," and it is within their power to effectively use the opportunities given by history.
According to specialists, it is almost impossible to preserve the palace for future generations without the participation of investors.
Rest in Kaptaruny?
Get in line! Investors are confident that there will be many who wish to rest in a gentlemanly manner. This is largely evidenced by the great interest of tourists (primarily Russian) in hunting lodges in the Kaptaruny village area. Tourists are attracted by the wild nature (for many of them, it is real exoticism!), and by the manor houses stylized in ancient times and equipped with modern amenities.
One of the hunting lodges is located on a farmstead closest to the village. It is very difficult to meet anyone here except wild boars, and sometimes elk and deer. And this is exactly what city dwellers tired of the hustle and bustle need.
At the disposal of tourists is a house that can accommodate a company of up to 10 people, a bathhouse built of natural linden wood, a small indoor pool with a view of the picturesque surroundings, a playground for children, ATVs, snowmobiles, and bicycles (depending on the season).
All the furniture in the manor is handmade, made exclusively from natural wood. The house is equipped with bathrooms, each room has a plasma TV with satellite television, and a powerful acoustic system has been purchased. The kitchen has the latest appliances and all the necessary utensils.
The second recreation area, the "Fishing House," is located on the shore of Lake Kaptaruny. In addition to a comfortable house with all amenities, a spacious bathhouse and a banquet hall for 18 people have been built here.
Kaptaruny will receive guests in March, but it is too early to talk about the completion dates of the hotel and palace in Lintupy. Most likely, it will be in 2017.
