The media must play an offensive role in addressing modernization tasks
Mass media should play an active role in addressing the challenges of industrial modernization. This viewpoint was expressed today by First Deputy Minister of Information Lilia Ananich, who participated in a meeting of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, BELTA correspondent reports.
"Mass media should have an offensive role in solving the tasks set by the President and the government for the modernization of the economy," Lilia Ananich is convinced. She urged journalists to visit enterprises more often, to show and talk about how the renewal is being carried out. "Show the best and do not be afraid to say that the problem is not in finding money, but in the fact that it is being sought sluggishly. Belarus is capable of solving any problems," Lilia Ananich emphasized.
The First Deputy Minister recalled that in 2013, serious tasks are also set for the reform of state republican and regional media.
