Nature has no compassion for humans…

Summer is a time for rest, holidays, and outdoor recreation. However, along with the joy of adventures, children can find themselves in dangerous situations involving both fire and water. Why can the elements be so ruthless? The fact is that the elements cannot show compassion to humans, as they have no heart.

Treacherous Water

Swimming, bathing, and various water sports are all wonderful ways to spend a summer day. However, water can be treacherous and dangerous. Children, lacking proper swimming skills and adult supervision, can find themselves in a dangerous situation. River currents, depth, and vegetation can all lead to an accident. It is important to remember that water does not forgive mistakes, so safety must come first.

On 31.05.2024, around 21:30, a young woman, together with a group of acquaintances, was consuming alcoholic beverages on the bank of the Z. Dvina River in Vitebsk. The young woman decided to swim in the river. After swimming about 5 meters from the shore, she misjudged her strength and could not swim back to the bank. For a while, the group on the shore lost sight of the woman, and when they came to their senses, they discovered that she had disappeared from the surface of the river. After that, the young people contacted the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

Children are not vandals, but experimenters.

Fire is undoubtedly dangerous for everyone. Children, being curious and full of energy, sometimes do not realize the risks associated with it, which can lead to serious consequences, including burns.

A report was received by the operational control center that a utility building was on fire on the territory of a household. It turned out to be an outdoor toilet, and it caught fire due to playing with fire. An eight-year-old boy, visiting his aunt, decided to isolate himself for a dangerous experiment. He was setting paper on fire, but the situation got out of control. A lighter turned out to be a dangerous tool in the child's hands. As the aunt explained, the child really liked it in the store, and she decided to buy it for her own needs. The "warning sign" was not recognized, possibly because the woman herself was under the influence of alcohol at the time.

Children must be aware of potential dangers and trained in safety rules. This is the responsibility of parents. They must supervise their children and provide the necessary support and protection. Only in this way can tragic consequences be avoided and the joy of summer adventures be preserved.
