Tolochin has a new sister city in Russia

The Tolochin District Executive Committee signed a Cooperation Agreement with the administration of the Russian city of Konakovo (Tver Region). 

Both sides are focused on long-term cooperation, especially in cultural and economic terms.

It is noteworthy that the friendship between Tolochin and Konakovo begins in the year of the 20th anniversary of the Union of Belarus and Russia.

Incidentally, the initiator of establishing sister city relations is Sergey Zhegunov, chairman of the Belarusian National-Cultural Autonomy "Bratstvo" for the Tver Region, who previously visited Tolochinshchina on a private visit and became interested in the rich cultural and historical heritage of the region.
