Vitebsk confectionery factory "Vitba" will have a branch in Orsha

The enterprise "Sladkaya Strana" (Sweet Country), located in the Orshansky district, will become a branch of the Vitebsk confectionery factory "Vitba" this year. The corresponding decision was made by the regional executive committee.

"Sladkaya Strana" released its first batch of products in September 2014.

It is the only specialized producer of sponge cake rolls and pastries in the republic. The products are targeted at three market segments - children's, family, and office. Accordingly, they are sold under three different brands.

- We decided to merge the enterprises for the further more effective development of "Sladkaya Strana," noted Petr Gishkelyuk, director of the "Sladkaya Strana" enterprise. - This will not only result in significant savings on the maintenance of the administrative apparatus, logistics, and marketing costs but also in the rapid promotion of products to the mass consumer.

Today, Orsha sponge cakes are mainly sold in the Vitebsk region. It is planned that thanks to the reorganization of the enterprise, "Sladkaya Strana" rolls and pastries will reach store shelves throughout the republic. This will happen through the established distribution system of "Vitba" products.

About 100 people work at the Orsha enterprise. After the completion of the merger procedure, it is planned to increase production capacity, expand the product range, and increase the number of jobs.
