Farmers in the Vitebsk region plan to start harvesting grain in two weeks. This was announced in Orsha at a field meeting of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee by its chairman, Nikolai Sherstnev.

The head of the region emphasized the contribution that the Orsha district should make to the region's common granary this year. "We have actually lost four districts in the west (Postavy, Glubokoe, Sharkovshchina and Braslav districts. - BelTA's note). They have had no rain since spring. In the Orsha district, the weather is ideal, the fields are beautiful. A good harvest is expected. We need to prepare and harvest. Then we will have bread, performance indicators, and the corresponding financial result," emphasized the chairman of the regional executive committee.

He also noted the importance of timely preparation of equipment. In general, assessing the results of work for the past period on the implementation of Decree No. 506 "On the Development of the Orsha District of the Vitebsk Region," the governor stated that much has been done. "Serious tasks have been set, the district should become a leading one in the region," said Nikolai Sherstnev.
