Students of Vitebsk College provide free hairdressing services to veterans
Vitebsk Industrial-Pedagogical College organized the "Warmth of Our Hands - to Veterans" campaign to provide free hairdressing services to this category of the population, the chairperson of the Vitebsk city organization of the Belarusian Public Association of Veterans, Galina Frantseva, told a BELTA correspondent.
Any veteran of war and labor, or a minor prisoner of war, can get a haircut, styling, or hair coloring at the educational institution for free on November 25 and 27 (the remaining days of the campaign). Students, under the supervision of masters, provide elderly clients with a full range of services. "Last Thursday, November 20, the first day of the campaign took place, with 10 people participating: two war veterans, three activists of the veteran movement, and the rest were minor prisoners of war. And all of them were satisfied with the service: they left looking younger, with sparkling eyes. The girls from the college not only cut hair but also gave advice, chose hairstyles, and did styling," shared Galina Frantseva.
She added that she had sent invitations to the October and Pervomaisky district veteran councils. And the college itself emphasized that they intend to continue the practice of such events in the future.
