Orsha will be the first Belarusian city to welcome participants of the Union State armored vehicle rally "Road of Courage", as reported by the Orsha District Executive Committee.

Participants of the armored vehicle rally are expected in Orsha on June 19. Here, near the Mound of Immortality, a ceremonial rally will be held, which will conclude with a demonstration of the arrived equipment. Veterans of the Great Patriotic War, students, pupils of patriotic classes, and the public will take part in the event.

The armored vehicle rally will start on June 17 in Moscow at Poklonnaya Hill. It is planned that more than 20 units of demilitarized equipment (armored personnel carriers and reconnaissance vehicles) will travel from Moscow to Brest and back. Participants will visit the Russian cities of Odintsovo, Golitsyno, Mozhaysk, Vyazma, and Smolensk. The Belarusian part of the route will pass through Orsha, Minsk, Brest, and Berezа. The culmination of the event is participation in memorial events in Brest on June 22. The organizer of the "Road of Courage" armored vehicle rally is the Russian interregional public organization "Military-Technical Society".

The main task is to pay tribute to the heroes who fought for the Motherland during the Great Patriotic War, as well as to strengthen cultural ties. In total, the participants of the armored vehicle rally will cover over 2,300 km, and will take part in 20 memorial events in Russia and Belarus. It is expected that the participants of the event will set a record that will be included in the Book of Records of Russia. This will be the longest dash made on armored vehicles.
