Participants of the youth festival in the Gorodok district will compete in body art and Dombay football

The XV Open City Water Sports Festival for Youth of Vitebsk will be held on June 11-13 in the Gorodok district, the head of the department for youth affairs and defense-mobilization work of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee, Alexander Sidorenko, told a BELTA correspondent. About 300 young people from the regional center, Shumilino and Liozno districts, and Orsha will gather on the shore of Lake Losvido during these days. Traditional festival events will include crossing a water-land obstacle course, quadrathlon, culinary, fishing, and tourist life contests, amateur performances, and competitions for strength, skill, and endurance. The "Body Art" competition promises to be exciting and spectacular. The Dumbay football and volleyball tournaments will attract no fewer spectators, where footballers will have to play tied together with ropes (the goalkeeper with the goal), and members of volleyball teams will have to pass the ball over black film, which will replace the traditional net. In addition, a number of competitions will be held to reveal the talents and creative abilities of young people. Moreover, in many of them, the main criteria for evaluating participants will be their sense of humor and originality of performances.
