The traditional culture festival "Braslavskie Zarnitsy-2013" will bring together participants from nine countries

The traditional culture festival "Braslav Zarnitsy-2013" will bring together participants from nine countries, as reported to a BELTA correspondent by the Braslav District Executive Committee.

About 1,000 people will take part in the three-day event. These will include choir members, performers, folk artists, members of historical reenactment clubs, as well as numerous guests of the festival, gathered in Braslav from various regions of Belarus, Russia, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Ukraine, Armenia, and Venezuela.

The first day of the forum, May 31, will open at the district cultural center with a children's creativity festival dedicated to Children's Day, "Vesoly Spiew - Kudmen Stonki Rodnay," and a children's disco, "Kali Shchasce Est' Na Svetsye, To Yano Zavyetsya Dzyatsi." On June 1, official notes will be woven into this cheerful tapestry.

On this day, a press conference with delegation leaders and members of the organizing committee will be held at the district executive committee building, where the main accents of the event will be outlined. Then, at the square near the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the opening ceremony of the festival will unite the participants and guests of "Braslav Zarnitsy." The kaleidoscope of events will continue with the regional review competition of vocal and choral groups "Braslav Choral Assemblies" and a concert by the G. Tsitovich National Academic Folk Choir of the Republic of Belarus.

Events will also take place at other venues in the city. For instance, an exhibition "Nas Zyadnalala Braslauskaya Zyamlya" will open at the Museum of Traditional Culture. And in the evening, on Zamkovaya Gora, the performance "Mech Brachyslava" with the participation of knightly clubs will immerse everyone gathered in the romance of past centuries, concluding with a colorful fireworks display.

The final day of the festival, June 2, will be marked by a theatrical procession of participants and guests from the city square to the "Lesnichyevka" forest park, a gala concert, the "Braslaŭski Falvarak" homestead competition, and a folk festival.
