Classes resumed today in 173 general education schools in the Vitebsk region, the Vitebsk Regional Center for Hygiene, Epidemiology and Public Health informed a BELTA correspondent. However, the educational process remains suspended in 181 schools. According to the regional sanitary and epidemiological service, from November 1 to 15, 60,602 people in the region were diagnosed with influenza and ARVI, of which 28,133, or 42.88%, were children. 1,751 people were hospitalized, 54.77% of them children. From November 2 to 13, the virological laboratory examined 414 samples for viruses. Influenza A and B were detected in 39 samples, parainfluenza in one sample, and other samples showed viral infections, including mixed ones. -0-
