The training center based at the High-Tech Park will start operating in 2010
December 8, Vitebsk / Sergei Kochetov - BELTA /. A training center at the Hi-Tech Park (HTP), being created with the support of the Indian government, will begin its work in 2010. This was announced today by Alexander Martinkevich, Deputy Director of the HTP Administration, at the opening ceremony of the city resource center for information technologies in Orsha, a BELTA correspondent reports.
In accordance with the signed memorandum of cooperation, the Indian government will provide a technical grant for equipping the training center with relevant equipment. In the future, an IT academy will be established at the center, which will be responsible for training personnel for HTP resident companies. In 2010, it is planned to begin designing a separate building for this HTP educational institution.
In addition, the HTP administration, together with one of the park's residents, plans to launch a pilot version of a program for implementing a distance learning system in one of the country's general education institutions. "By the beginning of the new academic year, we will offer a distance learning system for individual subjects of the school curriculum, which children will be able to study without leaving home," said Alexander Martinkevich. The HTP administration also intends to more actively introduce information technology educational programs into the secondary school curriculum in the form of electives. -0-
