The CSTO peacekeeping forces exercise "Indissoluble Brotherhood" will begin on October 12 in the Vitebsk region

The solemn opening of the command and staff exercise with the CSTO peacekeeping forces "Indestructible Brotherhood - 2020" will take place on October 12 at the Losvido training ground in the Vitebsk region. This information is posted on the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Defense.

The exercise will be held on the territory of Belarus from October 12 to 16. Contingents of CSTO member states, operational groups of the Joint Staff and the CSTO Secretariat, police (militia) forces and units of the ministries of emergency situations will take part in it.

The total number of participants will exceed 700 people, more than 100 units of military and special equipment will be involved, including helicopters and UAVs. It is planned that representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross will be present as observers.

In the first stage of "Indestructible Brotherhood", a peacekeeping operation will be prepared by the Collective Peacekeeping Forces of the CSTO (CPF CSTO). During the second stage, practical actions of the CPF CSTO units during a peacekeeping operation will be worked out.

The "Indestructible Brotherhood" exercise has been held annually since 2012 in one of the CSTO countries.
