Students of art schools from Belarus, Russia, Latvia, and Kazakhstan will come to Vitebsk to participate in an exhibition
May 26, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. Art schools of Belarus, Russia, Latvia and Kazakhstan will exchange experience in art education and present the works of their students in Vitebsk at the international exhibition-competition of creative works "Perspective-2010". The project is organized by the Vitebsk City Executive Committee, the "Vitebsk Center for Modern Art" museum, the museum director Valentina Kirillova told a BELTA correspondent.
From May 28 to June 14, five exhibition venues in the hometown of Marc Chagall will be provided to young talents. It is expected that they will present over 700 creative works, executed in almost all types and genres of fine arts: painting, graphics, design, photography, decorative and applied arts.
The "Perspective" project has existed in Vitebsk since 2006 and is always held on the eve of International Children's Day. It was conceived as a creative report for the academic year by city art schools, but over time it has expanded its borders far beyond the country and, according to Valentina Kirillova, contributes to the popularization of art education for children and youth. Almost 500 children will take part in this year's competition. -0-
