The governor emphasized that scientists have high hopes for the upcoming congress, but practitioners have even more. "We feel how much the fruitful symbiosis of science and production is lacking. This is often discussed, but nevertheless, your works often remain unclaimed by production," he stated.

While addressing the delegates, the Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee drew their attention to the need for active participation in the forum. "If you have sound ideas, submit them in your respective fields. You have a good opportunity to influence the content of the draft strategy 'Science and Technology: 2018-2040'. Now everyone must do everything they can and what depends on them," Nikolai Sherstnev stressed.

He expressed confidence that the congress will help bring scientists and practitioners closer together, and the decisions made at it will bring maximum efficiency. "This will improve our economy and well-being," concluded the head of the region. The II Congress of Scientists of Belarus will be held in Minsk on December 12-13.

December. More than 100 delegates from the Vitebsk region will take part in it, representing higher education institutions of the region, a number of industrial enterprises, healthcare institutions.
