Teachers of the Year were chosen in Vitebsk. They will represent the region in the final of the republican competition

Out of 133 semi-final winners from districts (cities), the jury, chaired by Dmitry Khoma, Head of the Education Department, selected 24 finalists, and the best of the best were 8 educators who shone in the super-final and will represent the Vitebsk region at the final, republican stage of the competition in September.

The jury noted the high level of preparation and professionalism of all competition participants, the creative approach and the variety of forms and methods of teaching used by modern educators.

The only male winner of the super-final in the "History. Social Studies. Geography" nomination was 32-year-old history teacher Andrey Ivanov from Secondary School No. 3 in Orsha (pictured). Andrey Mikhailovich said that his secret to success is the support of a friendly and creative team at his home educational institution.

– A huge amount of work has been done to systematize and present my own pedagogical experience, – noted Andrey Ivanov. – School is my calling, and working with children brings me joy. In general, all participants in the competition deserve the highest praise; they are talented and competent educators. We gave our all, without forgetting about our lessons and classes at our educational institutions.

In other nominations, the winners were: Olga Vysotskaya – educator at the Polotsk Preschool Child Development Center, Svetlana Rybachyonok – physical education and health teacher at Secondary School No. 16 in Polotsk, Olga Luksha – English language teacher at Braslav Gymnasium, Svetlana Rumyantseva – Belarusian language and literature teacher at Borovukha Secondary School No. 15 in Novopolotsk, Oksana Borovkova – primary school teacher at Gymnasium No. 1 in Novopolotsk, Marina Yurieva – biology teacher at Gymnasium No. 5 in Vitebsk, Natalia Shcheglova – mathematics teacher at Secondary School No. 31 in Vitebsk.
