The share of Belarusian goods in the official retail network of the Vitebsk region is 85.5%
September 15, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. The share of Belarusian goods in the official retail network of the Vitebsk region is 85.5%, the head of the trade department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Irina Levkovich, told a BELTA correspondent.
At the same time, in the food group of goods, Belarusian producers account for 90.4%, and in the non-food group - 76.4%. According to Irina Levkovich, the ratio for the food group is optimal, as these 4.5% include critical import goods: coffee, tea, rice, spices, exotic fruits. The same ratio of domestic and imported food products is observed in the unofficial retail network - at markets and in shopping centers.
Thus, the share of domestic goods in the retail network can be increased by industrial goods. However, here Belarusian manufacturers should work on both the product range and its quality and market promotion, Irina Levkovich is convinced. A significant share of imported goods includes household appliances and building materials, which are either not produced in the republic or do not meet customer requirements. Domestic light industry enterprises should pursue a more aggressive marketing policy: many of them produce fashionable, high-quality products, but do not pay enough attention to their advertising, the interlocutor emphasized.
The development of the production of import-substituting goods and the improvement of the quality of the manufactured range will also play a role in increasing the share of domestic industrial goods in the unofficial retail network. "There are no other levers to control individual entrepreneurs," Irina Levkovich stressed.
Based on the results of work for 8 months, the growth rate of commodity turnover in the Vitebsk region was 103.2%. Unorganized trade accounts for about 30% of sales. -0-
