The share of local fuel types in the fuel balance of the housing and communal services of the Vitebsk region is planned to be increased to 80% by 2015
August 25, Dubrovno district / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. The share of local types of fuel (LTF) in the fuel balance of the housing and communal services of the Vitebsk region is planned to be increased to 80% by 2015. This was announced today at a field meeting of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, which is taking place in the Dubrovno district, by the chairman of the regional executive committee, Alexander Kosinets, reports BELTA correspondent.
Along with firewood, it is planned to use peat more widely as fuel. Currently, half of the almost 400 operating boiler houses can run on peat briquettes. At the same time, modern technologies allow the use of cheaper milled peat as fuel, but this requires the re-equipment of boiler houses.
Currently, the development of the regional program "Small Energy" for 2011-2015 is being completed in the region, which provides for the allocation of about Br100 billion for the technical re-equipment of boiler houses to operate on milled peat. The enterprise "Belkotlomash" has already developed and is ready to supply the necessary equipment for the needs of housing and communal services, which is not inferior to imported analogues in terms of efficiency, but is several times cheaper.
Currently, the share of local types of fuel in the housing and communal services system of the region is 44%. -0-
