This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by Vladimir Baidanov, deputy head of the investigative department of the Vitebsk region prosecutor's office. As established by the investigation, a 50-year-old resident of Glubokoye district killed her 89-year-old mother and then forcibly held a minor neighbor girl in her apartment. She grabbed the toddler on the landing as she was ascending home with her older sister. Criminal cases have been initiated against the woman for murder and abduction of a minor. The investigation is ongoing. The accused is under arrest, and a psychiatric examination will be conducted on her. -0-
