Smart tractors with a parallel driving system and modern gadgets have arrived for the farmers of the Orsha district
It was purchased as part of the phased implementation of the regional program and personal instructions of the Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, Nikolai Sherstnev, to increase the efficiency of agricultural production in the Vitebsk region.
The cabin of the smart tractor resembles the cockpit of a spaceship or an airplane. It is equipped with modern gadgets and devices. Mechanizer Dmitry Sinitsa claims that driving such equipment is a pleasure, as everything in it is automated. However, without the desire to study and master everything new, it will not be possible to work effectively on the land today.
– In our time, it is not enough to be just a mechanizer who would spin the steering wheel, – says Dmitry. – You need to think big: constantly engage in self-education, study modern technology, gain additional knowledge.
The chairman of SPC "Larinovka" Alexander Kukhtenkov is absolutely convinced of this.
– Keeping pace with the times, we are constantly focused on re-equipping and technically re-arming agricultural production as a whole and the machine and tractor fleet in particular. In crop production, we are gradually transitioning to a precision farming system, – says Alexander Alexandrovich. – The enterprise's machine and tractor fleet includes 10 high-power tractors. In the future, we plan to purchase combines with a field mapping function. During the harvest, this will allow us to enter data into the GPS system on crop yields, which will subsequently allow us to track the fertility of each field precisely.
The new tractors are equipped with a parallel driving system with an accuracy of up to 2 centimeters. This is very relevant for sowing grain crops. There is also a fuel consumption control system that allows for daily detailed analysis and monitoring of fuel and lubricant usage depending on weather conditions, field contours, etc. Smart equipment will work much more economically while maintaining high productivity. It is capable of handling the most complex tasks. The new tractors are fully planned to be used for autumn sowing, stubble plowing, and other agricultural work.
The team of "Larinovka" is currently concentrating all its efforts on harvesting. Four crews of combine harvesters are working in the fields, and the same number of units are involved in grain transportation. If the weather permits, the farmers are ready to meet the agro-technical deadlines. Moreover, the grain in the fields has ripened well: the yield of grain crops in the farm is 70.1 centners per hectare. In total, 960 hectares of grain crops need to be harvested in the farm.
Before starting the harvest, "Larinovka" fully completed all fodder preparation work. 4753 tons of silage were obtained from the second cutting, and a total of 13574 tons of silage were prepared from two cuttings, which amounts to 24.8 centners of feed units per conventional head, an increase of 60 percent compared to last year. This will be more than enough to ensure that the cows are provided with green fodder for at least a year and a half.
Farmers have plenty of work until late autumn. Once the harvest is completed, they will need to switch to other tasks: soil preparation, sowing winter crops, and so on. But "Larinovka" is always focused on results. This is undoubtedly determined by many factors: strict adherence to technology, labor discipline, a strong material and technical base, but, above all, the team's desire to work with dedication.
