A unique children's playground, stadium modernization, and housing stock "rehabilitation". How will Dubrovno welcome the regional "Dozhinki-2017"?
Although the final touches in Senno, the current regional "Dozhynki" capital, are nearing completion, Dubrovno is already preparing to take over this baton, as it will host the region's agricultural workers and numerous festival guests next year.
And to make the celebrations unforgettable, a considerable amount of work on repair, reconstruction, construction, and improvement of facilities needs to be done here. These aspects became the leitmotif of the first meeting of the headquarters for the preparation of the regional festival-fair of rural workers "Dozhynki-2017," which was headed by Chairman of the Regional Council of Deputies Vladimir Terentyev. The meeting took place directly in Dubrovno.
It is noteworthy that preparations for no similar regional festival have ever begun so early. The timely development of an action plan for all regional and district structures and departments in this regard is very useful and effective. This, according to Vladimir Terentyev, allows for a calm assessment of the facilities, evaluation of the situation, and identification of key tasks. Many understand that this is a kind of exam for the region, as what is done remains for the people for years to come.
— The district center hosts the international festival of song and music "Dnipro Voices in Dubrovno" every year. Therefore, some areas have already been partially improved, and the infrastructure has been put in order. The preparation for the festival of rural workers will not be something entirely new. Our task is to ensure that the eastern gate to Belarus looks decent, and visitors can admire what they see, — Vladimir Vladimirovich noted.
The practice of holding such events allows for the coordination of efforts of all stakeholders to breathe new life into the district center and give new impetus to the development of both social and production spheres. Undoubtedly, in this regard, the implementation of multifaceted tasks requires considerable financial investment. Therefore, a rational approach should be taken to financing facilities that require transformation.
On the need to start work with design and estimate documentation
documentation, so that from the beginning of next year, tenders and construction work can commence immediately, instructed those present Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Vladimir Belous.
Many facilities share common "pain points" – building facades, roofs, windows... Thus, it is planned that schools, kindergartens, as well as the House of Culture and the Art School will receive a second wind. A major renovation also awaits the local hospital. In addition to the ongoing repair of the children's polyclinic and the former maternity ward, and the relocation of the gynecology department to its premises, the healthcare institution intends to optimize hospital maintenance costs by abandoning the separate building that houses the infectious diseases department.
Among the innovations is the construction of a children's sports ground, as, according to the Chairman of the District Executive Committee Anatoly Lukashov, there are no such facilities in the city. Modernization with the dismantling of old stands awaits the stadium. The housing sector, as well as some retail facilities, will undergo "rehabilitation." Much work will be done to improve utility networks, street lighting, and road surfaces. The main events of the festival will unfold on the central square, which will change its image architecturally.
Starting next year, the city will be massively immersed in construction dust, through which the image of a festive city will emerge.
