Unique organic cotton clothing for premature babies is produced in Vitebsk
In today's world, there are many factors that adversely affect human health and the environment: exhaust gases in the air, preservatives in food, wastewater with dissolved household chemicals entering water bodies, and low-quality dyes for fabrics or toys often cause allergic reactions. In these conditions, people increasingly prefer maximally natural products and natural materials that do not harm the body. Considering this trend, LLC "Belle Bimbo Plus" has started producing special clothing from organic cotton. It is intended for premature and low-birth-weight newborns, whose health is particularly fragile. It is extremely important to protect these little ones from the effects of aggressive substances and chemicals, and now parents have this opportunity.
As early as the beginning of last year, designers of the company "Belle Bimbo Plus", which produces clothing for children up to 16 years old, began to develop a new collection. Today, it includes 16 models of comfortable items for babies. Among them are both individual items (overalls, creepers, etc.) and various sets (for example, consisting of a sleeping bag and a hat, or a shirt, hat, mittens, and booties). By the autumn of 2014, about three thousand units of products had been sewn, and they went on sale in October-November. Currently, these goods from the Vitebsk manufacturer are presented on the Belarusian and Russian markets.
As Olga Vasketsova, Head of the Supply Department at Belle Bimbo Plus LLC, explained, the main feature of this collection is that it is made from maximally harmless organic cotton, which complies with the international GOTS standard. Such a certificate is issued only for materials produced according to specific strict rules. These rules, as Olga Leonidovna clarified, begin at the raw material cultivation stage. Firstly, genetically modified seeds are never used, and furthermore, they are not treated with fungicides and insecticides. Secondly, the soil where the cotton will grow is strengthened mainly by crop rotation, and synthetic fertilizers are prohibited. Thirdly, weeds are removed by weeding, not herbicides. No less stringent requirements are met further on – during harvesting and processing. In particular, chlorine is never used for bleaching fibers, and chemical dyes are not used for fabric. Therefore, you will not see organic cotton with bright colors or colorful prints. Such clothing always has natural tones; it attracts not with brightness, but with comfort and safety.
Belle Bimbo Plus LLC purchases fabric that meets the GOTS standard from South Korea. It should be noted that not all countries have manufacturers that produce such products: the business is too troublesome and responsible, and not everyone dares to take it on. Therefore, clothing made from organic cotton is rarely found on sale, and many have not even heard of it. According to Olga Vasketsova, even at major international exhibitions in which Belle Bimbo Plus LLC participates, the unique collection always arouses keen interest.
