A unique health resort is planned to be built in the Braslav district
March 10, Minsk / Andrey Asfura - BELTA /. A sanatorium is planned to be built in the Braslav district near a unique source of bromine water. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by Nikolai Mazur, Director of the Republican Center for Health Improvement and Sanatorium-Resort Treatment of the Population.
A sanatorium may appear in the village of Vidzy in the near future, which is known for its hydrogen sulfide springs. A couple of centuries ago, a water therapy clinic already operated in the vicinity of this settlement, which was established by representatives of the noble family of Mineyko. Under the supervision of specialists, about 50 patients could improve their health there simultaneously. However, after a fire in the 1850s, only the foundation remained of the water therapy clinic.
The search for mineral waters in the vicinity of the village of Vidzy began in 2001. In addition to hydrogen sulfide and bromine waters, various types of therapeutic muds have been found near the village. "All conditions have been created in this unique place for opening a sanatorium," Nikolai Mazur is convinced.
He also noted that not so long ago, the reconstruction of the sanatorium "Radon", significant for Belarus and located in the Dyatlovsky district of the Grodno region, was completed. The radon waters and sapropel therapeutic muds of Lake Dikoie give the health resort its distinctive feature. -0-
