Vitebsk UP "Polymerkonstruktsiya" is creating a unique water supply facility in Oryol
The Russian market is the main area for project implementation for the Vitebsk-based water treatment technology manufacturer, generating over 80% of its annual revenue by the end of 2014. Today, its specialists have already crossed the borders of the Far North regions: last year, the Magadan Oblast was added to the list of regions where "Polymerkonstruktsii" operates.
On the eve of its 450th anniversary, to be celebrated in 2016, the residents of Oryol will be provided with a de-ironing station with a total capacity of 75 thousand cubic meters per day. The facility has no analogues in the post-Soviet space. As reported to "VV" by Sergey Ivanov, Director of "Polymerkonstruktsiya" , the project is extraordinary both in terms of capacity and the technological solutions used. It is based on factory equipment of Vitebsk production – the non-pressure automated de-ironing station "Kristall-B". It implements a biochemical water purification method that does not require the use of reagents. This technology has proven itself as the most energy-efficient and resource-saving, allowing operating organizations to minimize water purification costs. "Our development has no analogues in the world and possesses the greatest technological competitiveness in the company's arsenal," emphasized Sergey Ivanov. A total of 10 large-sized blocks are planned to be manufactured, a third of which have already been produced and transported to Oryol. The delivery and installation of the equipment are tentatively scheduled to be completed in May, after which Vitebsk specialists will begin commissioning work. The total cost of the facility is about 600 million Russian rubles, with equipment accounting for at least a third.
In 2014, the enterprise implemented a number of major projects in various Russian regions, the total number of which in its portfolio is approaching one hundred. This allowed for a 25% increase in exports compared to 2013. For example, a de-ironing station with a capacity of 8 thousand cubic meters per day was commissioned in Krasnogorsk, Moscow region, and another similar facility will be launched here today. Two domestic wastewater treatment plants were delivered to the Magadan region. In addition, design work has begun in Lytkarino (Moscow region), where it is planned to open a de-ironing station with a capacity of 10 thousand cubic meters per day, thereby fully meeting the city's need for clean water.
Of course, the complex situation in the financial market of the main partner forces the management of "Polymerkonstruktsiya" to develop additional measures to minimize negative consequences. Moreover, due to the lack of funding under the "Clean Water" program, the enterprise has no orders in Belarus. In this regard, Sergey Ivanov particularly emphasizes: the company is a manufacturer with a processing depth of over 90%, while the raw materials are mainly supplied from Russia, and the imported component in the components does not exceed 7%. This makes it possible to stay afloat in the conditions of a financial storm.
Based on the results of last year, the company invested about 10 billion rubles in development. Among the most significant projects, it is worth noting the construction of a new assembly shop with a total area of about 700 sq. m and a height of up to 8 m, equipped with a 16-ton overhead crane. This will allow for the assembly and testing of finished multi-ton structures in an enclosed space before shipment to the customer, which will significantly optimize and intensify the production process. It is planned to put it into operation at the end of January 2015. In addition, the production of a new type of import-substituting product has been mastered – a prefabricated metal tank, which can be used both for storing liquids and as a treatment facility with a capacity of up to 7 thousand cubic meters per day. The novelty was developed at the enterprise and is in demand in various fields of production and life support. Today, the first project adaptations of facilities based on it are underway for implementation this year.
