Ushachi Raypo took first place in the region among similar enterprises

The team is not going to give up its hard-won positions either – in terms of retail sales growth for 11 months, it remains among the leaders. The fulfillment of forecast indicators is also ensured in other areas of activity – industrial production, public catering, procurement, export, etc.

– We are preparing for the New Year with a good mood and hope for the future, – said **Liliya Dolgaya, Chairperson of the District Consumer Society**. – And, of course, we are taking care to ensure that the holidays bring joy to all residents of Ushachi, as the share of the consumer society in the district's retail trade is about 66%. This means that most residents are our regular customers. Various promotions help attract customers: "Product of the Day", "Product of the Week", "Birthday Person Day", "Chance", "Building Together", "Hot Season", and others. Every month, the consumer society also offers a wide promotional package of food products with discounts, formed jointly with suppliers. For example, in December, it includes over 100 items (sausages and confectionery, pork and poultry semi-finished products, frozen fish, canned fish, etc.), as well as goods produced under the Belkoopsoyuz's own trademark. Moreover, we organize them not only in the run-up to the holidays – for the last two or three days of each month, we reduce trade markups on many goods.

Large-scale promotions are held on the eve of the New Year. The cost of products from manufacturers who participate in promotions with the consumer society is significantly reduced. For example, "Kupalinka" has reduced its selling prices for some items by up to 70%, and the consumer society has added its share by reducing the trade markup. This resulted in a very affordable price for goods produced in previous years. And for those produced this year, there is a 20% discount, which also attracts customers. But even regardless of the suppliers' decisions, a wide sale of non-food items is organized in the stores – markups on some items are reduced by up to 50%.

 – This is our gift to the residents of Ushachi and guests of the region, –

emphasized Liliya Albinovna. – And not the only one. An event is currently underway "For the festive table," when certain types of sausage and confectionery products, smoked meats, green peas, canned corn and pineapples, and other products that housewives traditionally use to prepare New Year's dishes, can be purchased at a lower price. Trade markups have also been reduced by 40% for gift sets and confectionery products ordered by work collectives and trade union organizations.

Catering enterprises are also preparing for New Year's celebrations. In addition to traditional "ogonyoks" (New Year's parties), outdoor sales will provide hot tea, coffee, confectionery, and other treats to participants of festivities that will take place near the Christmas tree on the main square of the town. By the way, if previously customers complained about the limited assortment of Belarusian-made candies in the district's stores, this shortage has now been eliminated: the consumer cooperative has directly entered into an agreement with the "Kommunarka" confectionery factory, and now sweets are always available on the shelves of retail outlets.
